Eid-el-Kabir: Udu Council Chairman Oyibode Felicitates With Muslim Faithful.
The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun (Hon.) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP FCIA, has extended warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to Muslim faithful in Udu Local Government Area and across Delta State on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.
In a goodwill message released by the Council’s Press Unit, the Udu Council Chairman described Eid-el-Kabir, also known as Eid al-Adha, as a time of reflection, sacrifice, love, and faith. The festival commemorates the obedience of Prophet Ibrahim, who was willing to sacrifice his son in submission to God’s command.
Olorogun Oyibode emphasized that the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir underscores the values of unity, compassion, and generosity, encouraging families, friends, and communities to come together, strengthen bonds of friendship, and extend a hand of support to the less privileged.
He urged Muslim faithful to use this year’s celebration as an opportunity to renew their faith in God, promote peace and harmony in their communities, and foster mutual understanding and love among all residents of Udu.
“I call on our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue to be shining examples of tolerance and unity,” Oyibode stated. “Let us seize this moment to promote peaceful coexistence, which is essential for the growth and development of our dear Udu Local Government and Delta State at large.”
The Council Boss also prayed for God’s abundant blessings and protection upon all Muslim faithful, their families, and the entire Arewa community in Udu, wishing them a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
